The ocean is literally just a five minute drive down the road. Fresh organic vegetable can be delivered to your door along with the local fisherman’s catch of the day and all at prices that make the first world seem expensive. The weather here is constant. You’ll be coddled by endless days of the requisite wear of T-shirts, flip flops, and shorts. Local culture will astound you whether it be the annual ‘fiestas’ with horse parades and parading bulls, typical Guanacasteco horseman making their daily rounds, or the local fisherman walking up the beach with genuine happy smiles due to a hearty lobster catch.
